Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed nerve tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the canals, and lets you keep your natural tooth instead of extracting it.
Who is it for?
Patients with severe toothache, sensitivity that lingers, swelling, or a deep cavity or crack reaching the nerve.
What to expect
The tooth is numbed so the procedure is comfortable. Most root canals are completed in one or two visits. A crown is often recommended afterwards to protect the tooth.
